Elegance, functionality and product quality are the basis of the new design of Villa on the Palace, in Rome. The exterior of the facility, located in Villa Carrega and inside a building dating back to 1912, have been revisited by Talents, a leading Italian company in the design and construction of outdoor elements. The Villa was built by the engineer John Baptist Milani and was the accommodation for the Prince Carrega during his visits to Rome.
Some forty years after its realisation, in 1955, Villa on the Palace was enlarged further to accommodate the "Congregation of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus"a community of nuns who transformed the ballroom of the old building into a chapel where they could gather in prayer. After a long period in the care of the nuns, it returned to its residential function in 2012. Its restyling, completed in 2017, is the work of thearchitect Ramòn Estevewho gave his personal touch with Casilda, a furniture collection (by Talenti) that perfectly expresses the identity of the famous designer Spanish.
Villa on the Palace to enjoy the panorama of the whole of Rome.
Designed with simple, harmonious lines, the concept was born with the vision of breaking down classic furniture and giving it a contemporary touch. Talenti's advanced research can be seen in the upholstery for outdoor use in quick dry foamcapable of withstanding the worst weather conditions. The lines of the structures, on the other hand, are transformed into a canvas for painting, making the pieces of the collection refined and light, just like the seats, which are spacious and comfortable. A versatile style depending on the fabrics used, but always refined and seductive, conveying that feeling of lightness typical of theoutdoor.
The 'restyling' of Villa on the Palace was also necessary because of the location of the structure, which 'grows' together with the city it overlooks. The building, in fact, has a splendid view of the Vatican and, being in the upper part of Rome, close to the Tiber valley, offers a unique view of the capital.
And it is precisely terrace of Villa on the Palace to be furnished with the elements of Casilda gold of Talenti. There you can see a combination of materials between stainless steel, marble and wood. A combination that has made a place born over a century ago even more magical.
