Training course

It stems from the industry's growing demand for professionals trained to work in the fields of product and brand storytelling, be they in publishing, photography or communication in a more general sense. Objectives of the Master are aimed at ensuring an adequate mastery of artistic methods and techniques, as well as, the acquisition of specific disciplinary and professional skills in order to provide knowledge and design and expressive methodologies in the use of creative tools in communication processes with reference to thepublishing, to the photography and the advertising communication e journalism in the fashion area.

The Master provides various skills to become a fashion editor, photography & digital media, able to analyse or discover new trends, work alongside fashion editors and journalists and learn techniques, digital and social strategies, interpret and define the message and meaning of a collection at photo shoots, fashion shows, promotional initiatives and events.

The part dedicated to fashion communication provides students with detailed knowledge of the main editorial activities within a press office, with a focus on the design of advertising campaigns, interviews, editorials and reports.

TEACHERS

A fashion journalist, she began her career as a stylist. She has always been present in the editorial world (Grazia, D, Vanity Fair and since 2010 fashion director of D and Dlui, fashion supplements of la Repubblica) in 2022 she embarked on new directions: as an external contributor for several magazines, digital advisor for companies and content creator of fashion disclosure with Letizianews on TikTok and Letizianews Letter.

Born in 1992, Nima is now an established photographer and has been working in the fashion world since 2010. Always attracted by glossy magazines, she started from her living room reinvented as a photographic studio and discovered how to capture all that fantasy world and make it her own, eventually shooting campaigns for major brands, including Dolce&Gabbana and Elisabetta Franchi.

In 2017, she was awarded the Emerging Talent Fashion Award in Monte Carlo, sharing the stage with Naomi Campbell and the royals of Monaco, while in 2019 she entered the famous Forbes 30 under 30 classic in the art&style section.

Thanks to her propensity to share her work, private life and travels through always studied and original images, she has gained a large following on social media, thus also attracting attention as an influencer on an international level.

TEACHERS

Fashion is my great passion and the fil rouge of my career path. After walking the catwalks of half the world, I hung up my heels to move on to TV and radio as an author, correspondent and presenter of fashion programmes. I write for several fashion magazines and started Rai's first 'official fashion blog'. I teach "Web & Blog Publishing" and "Fashion Writing" at the Accademia del Lusso in Rome and Milan, I also collaborated with the course in fashion studies at La Sapienza University in Rome. For two years I was in charge of the fashion section of the Roma Web Fest dedicated to fashion films. I wrote and hosted as fashion reporter the RaiUno programme 'Top! Tutto quanto fa tendenza'. I work as a fashion consultant for TV and private companies, presenting evenings, fashion shows, festivals. Finally, I collaborate with the music TV station StandbyTv as a VJ, doing reports between Europe and the USA.

Federica Caiazzo has been a freelance journalist since 2012 (since 2020 in the ODG's register of practitioners). She covers fashion and luxury in China. After graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature - English and Mandarin Chinese - at the University of Naples "L'Orientale", in 2016 she specialised in Fashion Media at Condé Nast College in London, where she obtained the VOGUE Fashion Certificate with top marks. For the exam, she imagines a potential editorial product for the Chinese market by Condé Nast China: the project, appreciated by the commission, wins her the Award for Excellence in Fashion Media.

Soon after, he took his first steps in the big international fashion newsrooms, gaining experience in the field in the newsrooms of British VOGUE, Harper's Bazaar UK, Grazia UK, House & Garden and Brides.

From 2017 to 2022 he was a daily contributor to ELLE and wrote for Gioia!, Cosmopolitan, NSS Magazine and Jing Daily. Today he collaborates permanently with Vanity Fair, Modern Woman, D the Republic e Magazine Studio. Parallel to his journalistic career, he collaborates with luxury brands as a communication consultant. He followed the digital communication of Chitè Milano for two years and has been copywriter for Gianvito Rossi since March 2022.

Motivated by the desire to bring together two worlds - her past as a Chinese language student and her present as a fashion journalist - in April 2021 Federica launched MODA in China, the 1st Italian newsletter dedicated to fashion and the luxury industry in China.

Amilcare Incalza is a photographer and painter. He graduated in painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 1991. In 1996 he started his career as a freelance photographer. In 2000 he shot the final of America Next Top Model presented by Tyra Banks, where he formed a creative duo with Alexandro Martinengo. During his career he has worked for: Cristiano Fissore, Mario Valentino, Saverio Palatella, Vogue Gioielli, Dash magazine, Mondadori, Vanity Fair ...

Mariella Milani
journalist and fashion critic

Professional journalist since 10/06/1976. For 33 years at RAI where she was one of the first women to lead TG2, special correspondent in news, editor-in-chief, author of reportages, daily and weekly columns such as "Diogene", "Anni d'argento", "L'alfabeto dei giovani" and a programme entitled "Stile", for Rete 2. A storm reporter, she has dealt with mafia and n'drangheta wars with the 'Reggio case' and the protection of the rights of citizens and minors by bringing to light phenomena such as paedophilia, petty crime and violence.
Since 1994, she has been a fashion critic, reporting - from New York, Paris, London, Milan, Florence and Rome - in an ironic and cutting way on the fashion system from an economic, sociological and costume point of view.
After Rai, she went online using social media as an interactive tool to open a dialogue with the protagonists of Made in Italy and talk about the revolution taking place in the sector. In March 2020, during the first lockdown, she created 'Un caffè con Mariella', a live column on Instagram.
2 February 2021 saw the release of Fashion Confidential, the book he wrote for Sperling & Kupfer about his experience and vision of the change that had taken place. In April of the same year, Fashion Confidential was also turned into a podcast - available on Spotify and all dedicated platforms - which started a new adventure in the world of podcasting.
He teaches writing and public speaking courses at IED and 24ORE Business School.
