Here comes Google Home in Italian: the speaker that responds to voice commands

Index

A loudspeaker intelligent, one speaker living room that responds to voice commands. Google Home e Google Home Mini are ready to be placed on the market. Anticipating competition from Apple e Amazonfrom 27 March next, it will be possible to purchase these loudspeakers of the latest generation. Nicknamed the 'digital butlers', they have a voice assistant integrated; through voice commands, the speakers can be asked to provide information of all kinds, such as the news of the day, weather information or traffic in the city.

Google Home answers the question 'what will my day be like'.

But not only that. Being loudspeakers, their natural function is to play tracks audiowith a simple voice order, which will allow Google Home to play any piece of Spotify. But it is also capable of answering all kinds of other questions, completing certain tasks such as switching the house lights on or off, translating a sentence into Italian or providing the result of a certain mathematical calculation. And again as an alarm clock in the morning, as a timer in the kitchen and as a reminder of the shopping list. A sort of device of the future already anticipated in many films of the 1980s.

In short, these new speakers will allow direct interaction with the simple pronunciation "OK Google". The four LEDs on the top will light up and you can ask for all kinds of information. Without using any remote control, it is also possible to view films on YouTube or watch an episode of a TV show on Netflix. All this thanks to the interaction between Google Home and the Chromecast.

Google Home comes along with the Minimuch more accessible for the home. Its design is as linear as it is small, with no edges or borders. Big G's speakers, which integrate the voice assistant Google Assistant, have as their main rivals Amazon's Echo, which speaks with Alexa's voice, and Apple's HomePod, which integrates Siri. Neither has yet arrived on our shelves Google Home and Google Home Mini are already bookable online on the Google Store and will also be on sale in physical shops from 27 March at a price of 149 and 59 euros respectively.
