This introductory course on colours in interior design is designed for interior design enthusiasts and those who wish to gain a fundamental understanding of the role of colours in design.
During the 15 hours of training, students will explore the key concepts of colour theory and learn how to apply this knowledge in interior design projects through the use of Homestyler.
Homestyler is an interior design app developed by Autodesk, available for most Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) devices on the market. It is a completely free app with no advertising banners, and can be downloaded from Google Play. The size is large, over 40 MB after the first launch, which is bound to expand considerably by downloading furniture elements, tools and various layouts.

What you will learn

With this short course you will learn the basics of colour theory, perception, rules of contrasts and matching in your favourite environments.

How to apply

Fill out the information request form and we will contact you within a few days. In the selection of candidates the scholastic CV, work experience and motivational letter will be considered. It is possible and advisable to send a portfolio of previous works. The examining commission, considering these elements, will communicate the result of the selection and the admission to the Course by filling the application form.

TEACHERS

Leonardo Pelagatti joined the company as Colorimetry Manager, a role he held for 10 years.
Member of the color systems excellence center within the Cromology group, he also serves as the coordinator of the colorimetry team.
For about 30 years, he has been working in colour trying to understand its rules and processes. He has moved from the textile industry to the tanning industry, from digital imaging to the paint industry.
Extremely curious and deeply passionate about the possibilities achievable through color, his work primarily involves providing consultancy services to designers in the realm of color, collaborating on the development of color tools (such as color swatch collections and color sample sets), and offering training to retail staff and designers.

Laura Rubino graduated in Naples with 110/110 cum laude with a thesis on the Cineteca Regionale in Giffoni Valle Piana (SA). During her university years she worked as a set designer and worked in the furniture sector. In 1992 she enrolled in the National Institute of Bio-architecture and had the opportunity to meet and discuss with arch. Ugo Sasso and with designers from the German and English schools on bio-architecture. She opened her professional studio in 1994. She was responsible for a Bioedile centre for disseminating and raising awareness of bio-architecture and developed an in-depth knowledge of ecological materials, application problems and technical performance aspects. She designs sustainable interventions and environmental sustainability certification for public administration and private clients with a focus on environmental quality, energy performance, and lighting technology. He deals with green infrastructure and landscape design. Design is a passion that he cultivates to experiment with the use of ecological and recycled materials and finishes. She is scientific director of courses and masters on bio-architecture and planning and lecturer and speaker at conferences and courses on sustainability.
