Italian Design Institute offers a specialisation course in bridal and haute couture modelling that aims to train bridal and haute couture modellers.
Under the guidance of highly qualified lecturers, the trainees will acquire the culture, methodology and manual techniques typical of haute couture and bridal work.
Beginning with the study of key elements such as anatomy, silhouette, proportions, fit down to the individual details that make up the model, we will continue with the realisation on canvas and fabric.
Training course
This is a full immersion training course, entirely carried out in the workshop, at RC MODA a wedding dress atelier, where attention will be paid, at the same time as practice, to the study of the fabrics, lace and embroidery that are fundamental for the creation of this type of garment. The students will explore new possibilities, experimenting their creativity and tailoring skills with the moulage and draping technique, modelling the fabric directly on the mannequin, which will soon take shape.
The students will put their acquired skills into practice in the realisation of a project work, focused on the consolidation of the notions acquired during the course. This will consist of the realisation of a wedding or ceremonial dress that will be paraded and assessed by an examination committee.
