Lecture by Giulio Bozzo to present the Italian Design Institute's Master in Crypto Art
Exceptional speaker, Saturday 29 April at 4 p.m, Giulio Bozzo with an exclusive Lecture, will present the Master in Crypto Art. Having always been fascinated by the historical and philosophical aspects of art, Giulio enrolled in the cultural heritage course at the University of Genoa, where he was already able to demonstrate his entrepreneurial spirit and organise his first digital art exhibition. In 2019 he hears for the first time about blockchain and NFT at a conference, he immediately realised that these technologies had enormous potential and, based on this, Giulio started the start-up Reasoned Artwhich was created with the aim of promoting digital art and therefore contemporary digital artists and which, to date, represents the first Italian gallery of digital art works, certified with NFT. In January, Reasoned Artwas even able to transform the Arch of Peace into an immersive work of art, becoming the first monument in the world to enter the metaverse. The world of blockchain is the key to a new world and not just in art, but in everything that is intermediation. When we buy a house, there is a notary who goes and certifies the identity of the two people, the asset, that that house is in that condition, in that particular street, etc.; through smart contact the intermediary is no longer there: it is a remarkable change. Moreover, the blockchain provides that there is an agreement in which one does not even know the identity of the other person since it is encrypted, thus generating a new way of trusting other people, which represents a true cultural revolution with all the perplexities of the case. Unfortunately, to date, this world is seen negatively or positively, it depends on the person, it is very subjective, but the thing that is objectively unfortunate is that only the financial and technological aspect is seen, and never the more human aspect, of how technology can help to build a new future.
