The course in Sound design for new music media is aimed at sound enthusiasts, graduates from technical courses and multimedia graduates who wish to expand their knowledge and technique in sound. A basic knowledge of the use of audio processing software is essential.
The course aims to train the Sound designer capable of intervening in multiple communication processes where sound is used in new media such as sound branding, podcasting, apps, immersive sound and exhibition design.
The candidate will imperate, through specific skills and technical knowledge belonging to the figure of the sound designer, to design and compose music and sounds in the context of new technologies starting from the initial phase which is the choice and creation of individual sounds.

The course in Sound design for new music media of Italian Design Institute is designed for those who, through the guidance of experienced professionals in the sector, wish to become sound designers by applying their creativity and knowledge of the sound world through transversal skills required by the labour market.
The opportunities to work in this field today are growing: the knowledge acquired during the course will enable the student to successfully pursue the profession, entering the market as a freelancer, or within private or communications companies.

Active in the music industry since 1990, Dino Lupelli is now managing director of Music Innovation Hub, the first social enterprise spa active in the music sector created with the aim of developing programmes and
innovation projects of the Italian music industry factory . Within MIH's operational headquarters in Milan, in the post-industrial spaces of Base, it coordinates internationalisation projects and
professional training as Linecheck on a national and international scale, thanks to its inclusion in the INES and ETEP networks and the Jump acceleration project of the European Music Market network

Former promoter of nationally important formats in his hometown, Bari, and later consultant to Arezzo Wave Festival for the management of the Elettrowave project and for internationalisation initiatives
of the Foundation of the same name until 2008, from 2005 to 2017 with Elita, he developed the Design Week Festival and Awards and a series of projects for companies such as Nike, Red Bull, Luxottica, combining attitude
entrepreneurship to a network approach serving the entire supply chain.
Since 2015, he is a founding member of Italian Music Festivals, the national association for the international promotion of the Italian festival system, a member and consultant of Assomusica, the leading association of music promoters, and a partner of Artlab, the national platform for the development of the Italian cultural industry.
He graduated in Musicology and Musical Heritage from the University of Lecce with a thesis on the History of Music for Film (on the cinema of Krzysztof Kieślowski) and later specialised with an International Master's degree in Management and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage at the ISUFI Institute of the University of Salento. He then decided to specialise in Communication, Design and New Media, also at ISUFI. In 2010 he was one of the founders of the collective Aips (Italian Archive of Soundscapes) and the collective Zeugma for the dissemination of sound culture. His musical production focuses on the use of the soundscape as a narrative tool. In 2013, he founded the independent label Oak Editions and later in 2020, together with another group of musicians, he founded the Zeugma collective for the dissemination of sound culture and the promotion of Italian sound artists. In recent years his attention has been divided between live performances and workshops, training sessions aimed at all age groups with the aim of disseminating the concept of soundscape and everything that revolves around it, from the creation of performance interventions, to installations, to the creation of online sound maps. Towards the end of 2021 he created White Noise Studioin Apulia, where he currently resides. A professional space also dedicated to training on the topics that are closest to his heart. In recent years he has performed or exhibited his installations at: LUISS HUB - Milan, Espronceda Barcelona, Casa Futura Pietra, SOUNDFJORD - London with AIPS Collective (Postcards from Italy), MACRO - Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome ('Sleephonia' with A.Ballerini), MADRID MUESTRARTE EXPOSICION COLLECTIVA, MAXXI - Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo a Roma, RAI RADIO 3 LIVE, Sapienza Università di Roma etc., CINEPORTO Bari Apulia Film etc.
