One company that is very active in this field is the Boschwhich has always been committed to a great technological evolution. The German company's announcement to acquire the 5% of HERE Technologies, a global provider of digital mapping and localisation services.
As part of the Bosch of autonomous driving, high-definition maps are crucial: they must combine data from the vehicle's sensors with live information on traffic conditions, construction sites and accidents.
The objective of Boschtherefore, is to create high-definition maps that can be constantly updated.
This road mapping created by the two companies, however, could also be about updating the service HERE HD Live Map.

This acquisition will also be very important for HEREIt will be able to advance even more decisively towards its goal of becoming the global provider of real-time location services for customers.
The acquisition of HERE is, however, subject to verification and endorsement by the Antitrust Authority, which will give its opinion by the end of the first four months of 2018.
