Managing to fill a suitcase without exceeding kilos, while managing to comply with the weights and measurements imposed by the airlines. For many, this is a real challenge when one is about to travel. And so the Juice Promotions Australia produced, based on the concept of the designer Andre Benke, l'Airport Jacket, a jacket that has the ability to function as a wearable suitcase.
The Airport Jacket: this is what it looks like
The Airport Jacket looks like an ordinary coat, but in reality it is a jacket that functions like a suitcase, consisting of 14 very large and deep pockets where you can store objects of different sizes. From your smartphone and computer to your toiletries, camera, shoes, t-shirts, trousers or slippers - you can store almost anything in the jacket. Capable of carrying a maximum weight of 15 kilograms, the jacket can be rolled up and easily transformed into a travel bag in a matter of seconds. Buyers simply slide their luggage into the jacket's pockets during check-in and boarding the flight, and once on board, the jacket can be easily unzipped and transformed into a shoulder bag that can hold both the jacket and all the items in the pockets.
Designed in both men's and women's versions, designed for both winter and summer, it can be worn in three different lengths and has a fairly affordable cost (about 175 euros). Depending on the length, the capacity of the coat also varies: in the shorter size it corresponds to a standard hand luggage size of 55 x 40 x 25 cm; the other two sizes can hold up to 6 kilos of luggage.
This project is currently hosted on Kickstarter is its creator stated "Essentially, this coat will allow you to bring on board everything you need for a one-night stay or a long weekend without worrying about luggage getting lost or having to pay excessive baggage fees'.
