Womby, the designer cradle that respects the environment and cuddles babies
From the mind of designer Anna Valsecchi and the art direction of Nicola De Ponti, was born Womby, its cradle design with multiple expressive capacities. Between modernity and tradition, the cradle represents the avant-garde in woodworking aimed at creating design complements with utility to serve the world of children and families.
Emotional and extraordinary, Womby is a music therapy cradledesigned to cuddle the newborn baby and to reduce the trauma caused by the change in the baby's environment. The cradle, in fact, succeeds, as explained in the magazine Designup.co.ukto reproduce the sound of the mother's heartbeat through drums, as well as the vibrato of the mother's voice through sound strings. The whole central part of the product Valsecchi funziona come cassa di risonanza e i supporti a dondolo riproducono un movimento accogliente del feto nell’utero e quello dell’abbraccio materno che culla il figliolo per farlo addormentare.
