The project:
In the image of Siena's rural territory, we still find many of the elements of Ambrogio Lorenzetti's Buon Governo frescoes, with landscape settings of extraordinary beauty. Agriculture and landscape are connected, but today Siena is known more for the quality of its agricultural landscape that frames the ancient city than for its agricultural production.
In the areas contiguous to the main town, the fabric is finely mosaicated, alternating between olive groves, areas with vegetable gardens and arable land, and mixed cultivation with the presence of uncultivated areas, including newly formed forests.
