The Specialisation Course in Lighting Design Online - Events and Theatre by IDI is a full-immersion full-immersion course that will allow you to learn advanced design techniques in the arrangement of light sources, to create a skilful play of light and shadow and emphasise elements of the surrounding environment.

  • Video projection of fashion shows and set designs: hot comments and design cues
  • Quality of natural and artificial light
  • Projectors and lighting techniques in events and theatre

  • Natural light and artificial light.
  • Theoretical input demonstrations of lighting a stage space
  • Setting up a Basic Light Design exercise
  • Launch of 1st project workshop: 'Designing light on a stage

Job opportunities

The Specialisation Course is aimed at architects, designers and planners. The Lighting Designer specialised in events and theatre can work as a freelancer, collaborating with companies in the events sector, with architecture and design studios, with lighting shops, with museums and theatres, as well as in the technical offices of public administrations.
