Ilaria Gaspari was born in Milan. She studied philosophy at the Scuola Normale in Pisa, then did her postgraduate studies in Paris, at the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. In 2015 her first novel, 'Etica dell'acquario' (Voland), was published. For Sonzogno in 2018 she published 'Reasons and feelings. Love taken with philosophy'. In 2019, 'Lezioni di felicità. Philosophical exercises for the good use of life', translated in several countries. In May 2021, also for Einaudi, 'Vita segreta delle emozioni', also being translated. He collaborates with various newspapers and Radio3, and holds writing courses at the Holden School and the Omero School.
