The company's latest mega-yacht was unveiled at the Dubai Boat Show OceancoTuhura, a project that bears prestigious signatures such as those of Lobanov Design studio for the exterior and Achille Salvagni for the interior.

The philosophy behind this shape is to evoke the spirit of adventure and desire for exploration of those pioneers. The name, Tuhura, follows the same track: it comes from the Maori verb meaning to discover, to bring to light, to explore.
"Tuhura's is a simple idea. We took the lines of the ancestral canoes and enlarged them to the desired size using technology"stated Igor Lobanov.
The interior design, designed by Achille Salvagni, is 'dominated by brushed teak': walls, floors and ceilings feature this essence and have tatami floors.
This is complemented by gunmetal and natural bronze parabolas. "Tuhura is a yacht designed for a dynamic armoury, but on board the dominant mood is one of tranquillity. This softness of form and dynamism are perfectly expressed in the softness and primitiveness of the forms that distinguish her"explained Salvagni.
Lobanov's exteriors and Salvagni's interiors combine perfectly. The yacht can be built in all sizes between 80 and 120 metres.
BMT also participated in the project, producing the hull and motorisation of Tuhura, which, thanks to the simple shape of its lines, offers excellent seaworthiness and great manoeuvrability.
The propulsion system chosen by BMT is an ABB equipped with Azipot CRP (counter rotating), the development of which began in 2003 and is now used on many commercial vessels.
High technology was used for this mega-yacht: horizontal glazing that cannot be seen from the outside. These super-technological glass panes, in fact, allow a perfect view to the outside, but from the outside they take on the colour of the hull and become invisible. The superstructure is also made entirely of glass.
Tuhura is a yacht that reflects Oceanco's philosophy 100 per cent.
