Take off Day, Italian Design Institute car designers at the Museo Enzo Ferrari

Everything is ready for the third edition of the Take Off Daythe event promoted by Italian Design Institute to be held next 21 July at Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena. The occasion this year is for 11 young people to participate designer who attended the Turin Automobile Museum the exclusive master's degree in Car Designto a day where they could present their projects to the public.

The theme is that of "Ferrari next-generation mid-engined berlinetta". I designer chosen for the Take Off Day will be divided into groups that will study a solution using the Ferrari 558 Italia. Their mission will be to make the best future generation of this car with an eye to the past but also looking to the future. Not a retro operation, but a sedan that can actually hit the road in 2025.

The lecturers of the Take Off Day.

The design groups will be supervised by lecturers and speakers from the Take Off Day: Maurizio Corbi for the stylistic part and Marco Amadio for the three-dimensional modelling part. Maurizio Corbi is an experienced designer and has been linked to the Pininfarina. He collaborates on the design of world-class cars and is now a lecturer in the field of automotive design.

Marco Amadio, on the other hand, is a consultant and designer for industries in the Trasportation and Automotive sectors. Known in the industry as an expert in 3D modelling, he has dedicated the past years to the construction of moulds in thermosetting materials. Among the prizes he has received are the 2009-2010 Boat Award and a series of awards in the field of Naval Design.

This is an exclusive course that aims to provide students with all the necessary tools to create a complete automotive project, starting from the concept until rendering 3D. and the production of scale models. The Car Designer is a professional specialising in car design, the design of bodies, bodyshells, light fittings, interior accessories and car trim elements.

Designing, producing, promoting and marketing an automotive design product requires designers with specific skills, able to dialogue with different players and to move outside the classic logic of the market, requiring technological and production skills, as well as basic project management skills.

At the end of the master's course, students will have completed their training as car designers and will be able to find employment in technical studios and style centres of car manufacturers, or start their own professional car & automotive design studio.
