Take Off Day at the Enzo Ferrari Museum: student car designers present their projects on the Ferrari Berlinetta

[vc_row 0=””][vc_column][vc_column_text 0=””]Si è tenuto lo scorso 22 Aprile il Take Off Day promosso da Italian Design Institute, which was attended by 13 young designers who attended the master's course in Car Design held at the Turin Automobile Museum.

During the day held at the prestigious Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, the students, divided into four working groups, presented their project on the theme 'mid-engined Ferrari berlinetta'.
The 13 car designers took as their reference model the Ferrari 458 Italia, a mid-engined sports berlinetta, no longer in production and replaced by the Ferrari 488 GTB.
The car has been the focus of work to imagine a new generation of 458 (488 GTB ), starting with past models and moving on to those that have been developed in subsequent years.

The lecturers and speakers of the event

Following the young student designers, the teachers Maurizio Corbi for the stylistic part and Marco Amadio for the three-dimensional modelling part.
Corbi, a car designer for over 25 years at PininfarinaHe collaborates on the design of world-class cars such as the Ferrari 550 Maranello, the Ferrari F50 and the Ferrari California. He is currently active in teaching in the field of automotive design.
Amadio has long been involved in thermoset mould making processes. A consultant and designer for industries in the Transportation and Automotive sectors, he is one of Italy's leading experts in 3D modelling. He has also received several awards in the field of Naval Design and the 2009-2010 Boat Award.
In addition to Maurizio Corbi and Marco Amadio, the following also spoke at the event held at the Enzo Ferrari Museum Riccardo Piergentili, head of the Quattroruote section of Conti Editore - Corriere dello Sport Group).

Pupils as protagonists

The participating students, divided into four teams and coming from all over the peninsula, are: Lapo Roccella, Giuseppe Alviti, Emanuela Catania, Fabio Grandi, Nicholas D'Antonio, Denis Giovanetto, Jessica Montese, Antonio Filippelli, Mattia Mastracci.

Carlo Flagiello (born 1981, architect), Filippo Montalbano (Class of 1992, Academy of Fine Arts - Course in Graphic Design) and Andrea Rosa (class of 1987, Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering) were the three young car designers who won the prize for best project, making them the winning team that will see their work featured in an article written by Riccardo Piergentili.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][mk_fullwidth_slideshow images=”9544,9545,9547,9548,9549,9550,9552,9555,9556,9557,9558,9559,9560,9561,9567″ stretch_images=”true”]
