L'Ho.re.ca. Design has been experiencing great success in recent times. Restaurant architects, designers and planners are now the protagonists of a sector that is proving to be fervent and that is no longer, as in the past, tied to certain classic schemes, but is increasingly moving towards creative solutions that know how to dare. The Leonardo Project studio of Montesilvano, by Abruzzo architect Leonardo De Carlo, who designed the restaurant 'Real' by Niko Romito and the Metrò of the brothers Fossacecajust to name a few.
The Leonardo Project
The study of Leonardo De Carlo is called Leonardo Project, in Montesilvano in the province of Pescara. Established 10 years ago, it now employs 7 people and boasts important collaborations with other European firms.
Restaurant Design: narrating spaces of sharing
The design by Leonardo Project tells sharing spaces, becomes an integral part of them, if not the very soul of the activity.
Catering environments must follow a specific mood and philosophy, as well as representing those behind the cooker and must be functional for an activity involving a range of people.
The study behind a ho.re.ca design bases its focus on the design and architecture of restaurant spaces and emphasises the organisation and furnishing of rooms first.
Leonardo De Carlo has succeeded in rethinking the furnishings and style of signature restaurants in Abruzzo and revolutionised the architecture and the very way of conceiving the table, understood as a place for sharing.
Sober and discreet, Leonardo has made these characteristics his signature style. It is no coincidence that the design executed for Niko Romito reflects these tones, as well as the philosophy and cuisine of the great chef from Abruzzo.
A cuisine that is technique, rigour, intense passion.
The Light of the Real
Light plays an important role in the design of 'Reale', evenly diffused on the walls and then concentrated on the table thanks to the Papiro lamp by Pallucco.
It is light that shapes the space with evocative softness, that furnishes the entire room, that is the protagonist of the ambience, that creates the ideal atmosphere for a gastronomic experience that only a multi-starred restaurant like Romito's can guarantee.
When art, technique and creativity are at the service of haute cuisine.
