From the collection of EUR 300,000 to start the project, through the crowdfundingto sales of $5 million. One could encapsulate the success of the multi-game table MUtable by Mukako, an Italian start-up that creates and sells products for children. A brilliant idea that allowed the two creators, Martina Cusano and Elisa Tattoni, to win the "Gold Parents' Choice Award"Oscar of products for children.
The award has been presented for over 40 years and was conceived by the Parents' Choice Foundationa US non-profit organisation, and aims to guide parents in their choice of quality toys and media content for children. It is an internationally recognised label that, thanks to a selection process consisting of parents and grandparents, writers and booksellers, artists, educators and, of course, children, verifies the originality of the design of a given toy, as well as the educational and playful content. Not only and exclusively toys, therefore, but also apps, music, books, TV programmes and websites dedicated to children.
Indeed MUtable was awarded the 'Gold Parents Choice Award' in the toy category, for 'ihe design and manufacturing quality of the table", because (reads the ANSA note) "is an extraordinary platform for playing and experiencing new activities in one environment", and, in summary, because "offers many possibilities for play and just as many for learning". MUtable wins this important award after winning the 'Red Dot Award' just a month ago for the Design of Products in the 'Children's Furniture' category.
