It will be open until 1 May the exhibition on the 110th anniversary of the Olivetti. Inaugurated on 19 February at the GNAM (National Gallery of Modern Art) in Rome, is entitled "Looking Forward. Olivetti: 110 years of imagination". The project is dedicated to the brand that made the history of the design around the world as well as communication.
The event aims to retrace more than a century of success through a double exposure at gallery. The first is entitled 'Visual Collection', curated by Manolo De Giorgi, and is a tribute to constant modernity. The second is 'Drawing Life', and is curated by Ilaria Bussoni and Nicolas Martino. This last part of the exhibition is a true story through a series of photographs, posters made available by the Association Historical Archive Olivetti. It is also possible to view some of the great masters of the photography. In total there are 300 historical and 150 photographic pieces at the GNAM.

Looking Forward is a tribute, more than just an exhibition, to the Italian family that marked an era and, in one way or another, entered the homes of thousands and thousands of citizens around the world. Olivetti was ahead of its time, it saw the future well in advance and, thanks to the almost maniacal study behind the 'life' of every object (because every piece has a soul), it managed to rewrite industrial history. Think of the first typewriter, its M1to the even more famous Letter 22, a portable writing system from the 1950s that has received prizes and awards all over the world. And then again, just to name a few exhibits, the recorder of Form 200 or the calculator Divisumma 14, the first capable of performing the four operations and printing.
Looking Forward is 'looking ahead'.
The one on the 110th anniversary of Olivetti is a must-see exhibition, as the company's CEO, Riccardo Delleani, emphasised. "The beauty of the objects and images presented in this exhibition represents one of the most visible forms of the values of this experience with the aim of giving visitors vital stimuli to look forward (Looking Forward) with the help of a great story.
