From 23 July to 29 September, for all art and lighting design enthusiasts, Milan showcases 80 works including projects, sculptures and installations at the Palazzo Reale, with the Light Projectthe first anthological retrospective dedicated by a public museum to Nanda Vigo, architect, designer and artist among the protagonists of the avant-garde of the 1960s and 1970s.
The works on display recount the research path of the undisputed master of Italian creativity, influencing and leaving her mark on the art scene of the last 50 years.
The project was curated by Marco Meneguzzo, which sought to recount the artist's career from his beginnings to the late 1950s, including his most current experiences and works. And it does so in an exceptional location, the Royal Palace Indeed, it is here, in the rooms on the first floor, that one discovers exciting experiments in which light, space and colour are the undisputed protagonists.
A master of creativity, Nanda Vigo developed an important theme based on light, declined through reflective surfaces, transparency and immateriality. Famous and noteworthy is the Chronotope series (1962).
