IDI's Automotive Design Academy and a master's degree dedicated to Car, Yacht and e-bike Design

Index

An academy dedicated to the world of transportationwith a complete route that includes the Car, Yacht and E-bike Design. A large master's degree with three specific courses to learn all the skills of the sector. It is with this vision that the Automotive Academy of the Italian Design Institutethe academy dedicated to the Nautical, automotive and bicycle design.
It is a large training course divided into 3 modules:

  • CAR DESIGN
  • YACHT DESIGN
  • E-BIKE DESIGN.

IDI's Master's in Automotive Design: how it is organised

The master is aimed at all those who want to become true professionals in the sector, acquiring all the skills and theoretical-practical knowledge required by the market.
The course is divided into classroom phases with lectures by lecturers who are experts in the sector and laboratory phases with the opportunity to get to know professionals, innovative materials and site realities. The programme, rich and distinct for the three modules, also envisages the development of a project commissioned by professionals in the sector, for each module, during the classroom phase, by the participants and under the guidance of the lecturers. The project, evaluated by a specially established commission and deemed the best, will have the opportunity to receive a 50% scholarship.
Educational field trips and test rides on bike and/or mountain bike circuits are also planned.

The Italian Design Institute's Master's in Automotive Design offers the right training to find employment in technical studios and style centres of car manufacturers, electric motor companies, or to start your own professional studio of design course.

Indeed, at the end of the course, participants will be perfectly capable of taking care of all the phases of a project, from the acquisition and management of statistical data to graphic and 3D design, up to the
internal communication and external promotion phase.

Teachers

Leading lecturers, such as Roberto Franzoni, Flora Olivieri, Marco Rogolino, Maurizio Corbi and Marco Amadio, who is also from the academy, lead participants into the fascinating world of automotive.

The focus on sustainable automotive

One cannot speak today of Transportation Design without also having a clear approach to sustainability and attention to the environment, understood as the study of all those solutions that lead to real energy saving projects, to a technological innovation oriented towards an increasingly reduced impact on the environment. For this reason, the master's degree also addresses these aspects of the sector in detail, in a logic that wants technological progress to be at the service of a better society.
