The 2018 theme is sustainability. It starts on 28 February in one hundred cities on all continents the "Italian Design Day in the world". The event, repeated again this year by the Ministry of Foreign AffairsIts aim is the dissemination of 'Italian way of life' in all its facets.

A must for Made in Italy lovers

La Italian Design Day is in essence a two-day event dedicated to Made in Italyto promote, as reported by the agency ANSAmedthe Italian production system from a design perspective. This is a very important showcase in the light of the integrated action between culture and scientific research aimed at making tricolour design known to a diverse public. As well as experts in the sector, designer and all those who can be framed as 'ambassadors' of the Italian cultureThere will also be critics, journalists and teachers whose task will be to explain in detail the relationship between design and sustainability.

Among the various events scheduled Estonia, Belarus e China (these are only some of the states affected by the international event), we point out the events that will also touch the Turkey. A series of meetings and seminars divided between the cities of Ankara and Istanbul are planned.

Italian Design Day events

Going into the details of the scheduled events, on Thursday 1 March in Istanbul, at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Yildiz, a seminar will be held with the theme 'Sustainability through the Aesthetics of Made in Italy'. The meeting, which will be chaired by Professor Andrea Tosiwas organised by the Italian Institute of Culture, in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture of YÕldÕz Teknik University, the Consulate General of Italy and theICE (Agency for Promotion Abroad).

Tomorrow, 28 February, in Ankara, Professor Carlo Branzaglia will hold a seminar entitled 'Italian Design and Sustainability'. This second meeting was organised by theEmbassy Italian in Turkey, in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of Bilkent University and the IED - Istituto Europeo del Design. During this last event, the "Green is the colour" competition will be held, aimed exclusively at students and graduates of the Department of Architecture. The winner will have the opportunity to benefit from a scholarship to attend the next summer course organised by the IED in "Interior and Showroom Design".
