Born in Garessio (in the province of Cuneo) on 7 August 1938, is famous for his pen, capable of creating cars that have made history. One thinks of the Fiat Panda, at Fiat One or to the Golfnot to forget the cars that have entered the hearts of film buffs. One above all the De Lorean from the trilogy of Back to the Future. The 20th century was his century, but his creativity is still able to influence new generations of designers.

On this festive day it was Giugiaro to pay homage to his town, Garessio, with a gift. A painting by him, a pictorial work that recalls the theatrical representation that the town has dedicated to the Passion of Christ every four years since 1700. His passion for painting takes us back to the 1950s, when Giorgetto (woe betide calling him Giorgio ed), having just finished his studies in fine arts, entered the Fiat Style Centre as an 'illustrator', to visualise techniques and ideas of creative people in watercolour sketches.
It was only the beginning of his long and successful career. Despite ups and downs, the path of Giugiaro has been full of great and very great successes. It is impossible to list the more than two hundred creations born from the genius mind and hand. Think of cars that have made history on Italian roads.
