Our lecturer Simone Micheli's immersive installation for an architecture that dialogues with infinity

From 7 to 17 April 2025, the exhibition-event Cre-Action interiors will host an extraordinary installation by architect Simone Micheli. In a virtual and immersive environment, the project will be presented Be Up - where architecture meets infinitya luxury mountain resort designed for the beautiful natural setting of Valbona, Albania.

A territorial work of art

The resort will extend over an area of 12 hectares, making it an icon of architecture and sustainability. The three hotels with 300, 200 and 150 rooms, together with 80 exclusive villas and a wide range of services, are not mere buildings, but true sculptures. Their sinuous geometry and innovative design blend harmoniously with the mountain landscape, creating a unique dialogue between man and nature.

The use of sustainable materials and technologies gives the project a strong symbolic value, transforming it into a model of territorial redevelopment. The aim is not only to create functional architecture, but also to encourage a respectful and poetic interaction with the surrounding environment.

The installation at Interni Cre-Action 2025

The work presented at the exhibition is inspired by the forms and principles of Be Upproposing an immersive experience that translates the concept of synthesis between nature and human construction into an exhibition. The heart of the installation will be a monolithic, curvilinear volume, a symbolic structure designed to accompany the visitor on a sensorial journey through images, sounds and evocative materials. This interactive journey fits perfectly into the theme Cre-Action by Interior, which explores the dialogue between cultures and the relationship between physical form and expressive meaning.

A portal between architecture and nature

The central element of the installation will be an imposing arched portal, constructed of metal and clad with steel coils treated with ultraviolet photocatalysis, reproducing the aesthetic effect of Corten. The stoneware floor, the two high-resolution video walls and the integrated micro videos will enrich the structure, while plays of light, scents, sounds and natural vegetation will contribute to making the experience multi-sensorial and immersive.

Simone Micheli's vision

The project Be Up was born out of a deep respect for the natural context and a reflection on the need for an architecture capable of dialoguing with the environment without altering it. As Micheli himself states:

"After a long walk in the mountains of Valbona and an intense discussion with the client, everything became clear: to create a hospitable, interactive and unconventional place, where matter and forms dialogue in a dynamic balance with nature."

In the natural universe, each element is part of a perfect balance: ancient trees, decaying trunks, mosses, fungi and small creatures coexist in surprising harmony. The aim of architecture should be to respect and reinterpret this harmony, rather than destroy it in the name of speculation.

A new paradigm for the future

Be Up It is intended to be more than just a luxury resort: it is a symbol of sustainability and innovation, a model of integration between the built environment and nature. Through fluid forms and technologically advanced materials, the project stands as a manifesto of a new design philosophycapable of arousing emotion, reflection and inspiration for the future of architecture.

The installation at Cre-Action 2025 interiors will therefore offer an exciting preview of this extraordinary project, taking visitors on a journey between dream and reality, between innovation and respect for the environment
