Expert in cultural and destination management gained in different territorial contexts, museum director since 2010, creator and manager of cultural enhancement and digital heritage projects, museum educator.
I have a background in the humanities with a degree in History and Conservation of Cultural Heritage (2004), School of Specialisation in Medieval and Modern Art History (2007) and an International Doctorate in Humanistic Studies (2011). Over time, I have acquired skills in marketing, economics, digital technologies, didactics, communication and law through advanced training and refresher courses (e.g. Advanced Training Course in Cultural Tourism and Territorial Enhancement and ICT at the Department of Economics of the University of Calabria, courses at the School of Fundraising in Rome, etc.).
My work has been carried out for 15 years on two fundamental levels: the operation of museums in accordance with ICOM standards and in the direction of achieving the LUQVs of the National Museum System, as well as cultural planning for individual institutes and territorial networks. I work in a national and international dimension, training and involving young people in my activities and building relationships and links between professionals, institutes, administrations and actors in the territories so that each project can be a bridge and a generator of new experiences and initiatives. I am therefore inclined to 'networking' and moving around the territory!
Among the main and most articulated experiences, I would like to mention the training and research experiences in France, Portugal and Brazil for the study of museum education services. Some of my professional experiences include: at the Giuliani Foundation as director of the multimedia museum Consentia Itinera, where I am in charge of strategic planning, training young people in museum professions, education and didactics, curating and producing digital exhibitions, managing inter-institutional relations, drafting documents, fundraising; at the Ministry of Culture (DRM Calabria) - where I collaborate in coordinating cultural and didactic initiatives, historical-artistic research, inventory and cataloguing, drafting administrative documents, network projects, etc.; Reggia di Caserta - where I have coordinated the planning of celebrations of the anniversary of the birth of the Royal Palace of Caserta.; Reggia di Caserta -where I supervised and coordinated the planning of the Vanvitelli celebrations as well as defined and supervised the concept, historical-artistic research and drafting of the contents for the realisation of the Vanvitelli rooms characterised by the dialogue between material goods and digital technologies- and Sibari Archaeological Park where I am a member of the Board of Directors).
Further important experiences were carried out at the Province of CS as creator and manager of the province's museum network and director of the MaM (2009-2016), the Municipality of CS within the BoCS-Art artist residencies project (2015-2018), the Universities of Roma Tre and Torvergata where I held teaching positions on the National Museum System, the creation of digital exhibitions and digital museum narrative; finally, at the company Wish Innovation.
Some important positions that I would like to point out are: ICOM Italy Regional Coordinator for Calabria and Basilicata (since 2023) and former Regional Councillor (since 2018), member National Commission for the SMN at the Ministry of Culture (2018-2022), member CDA Archaeological Park of Sibari at the Ministry of Culture (since 2020). I am also a member of the Regional Commission for the Evaluation of Museums as an expert on networks and the national museum system, I have been mentioned in the "top ten" of Italian Museum Directors under 40 (2021) and I am a referent of the working group "Museums, legality and territories" of ICOM Italy (since 2022).
