Regione Lombardia and the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza and Lodi present Design Competition Expo Dubai 2020. This innovative project, which will end with the 2020 World Expo in Dubai, is aimed at teams composed of Lombardy companies, designers under 35 and students with degrees in design, architecture and engineering.
For the seventh edition, the organisation is asking participants to design projects on the theme "Expo Connecting minds, Creating the future", focusing on new paths of development and innovation with regard to the sub-themes "Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity“.
The projects will be judged by a jury, consisting of representatives of the partners and international experts, who will select the best 20 ideas from all those submitted.
The winners will receive a non-repayable grant of up to 20,000 euro, to be allocated to the companies involved in the project, to cover the expenses incurred in the realisation of the prototype. In addition, the winning teams will have the incredible opportunity to exhibit their projects in the most important Italian venues at events dedicated to design andDubai Expo scheduled from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021.
Finally, before the international event, the projects will be presented to the Commissioners involved in the construction of the Country Pavilions and to the Emirates market.
