Specialization in Green Indoor Design

The interior green represents today a real design approach as well as a philosophy aimed at the living well-being of the spaces. The green now becomes, more and more frequently, the protagonist of the interiors enriching the environments of houses, offices, restaurants, hotels, public places. The aim is to bring nature back into the highly urbanized places through architecture. This need for nature in everyday life, capable of giving benefits to those who use it, is decreeing the victory of the use of green as a key element in an interior project. It is fundamental to propose conscious and harmonious solutions with the reference context, through the implementation of professional choices. The choice of green for interiors is strictly tied to the choice of plant species, to the characteristics of the places, elements to be taken into consideration for the correct design choices.
The objective of the Green Indoor Specialization is to train a highly qualified professional figure, with skills in interior green design. The Specialization in Indoor Green aims to transmit working methods, as well as specific knowledge in the reference sector, thanks to the know-how made available by professionals in the field through the discussion of a specific educational program structured in such a way as to develop all the phases of the realization of an indoor green project so as to be a winner.

  • Stefano Mengoli
    Stefano Mengoli
    Degree in Forest Sciences at the University of Florence and in Landscape Architecture at the Sapienza University of Rome, the fields of interest of Stefano Mengoli are urban green, green design and environmental recovery. Specialized in urban green management at the Municipal Parks and Gardens Institute of Barcelona, ​​he developed the theme by studying global service systems for urban green spaces, analysis methods to implement the quality of green spaces and new experimental green formulas for the city, and he served as a commissioner for the awarding of green tenders for metropolitan cities. His research and design activity led him to develop various design themes, from garden roads (Calenzano. 2009) to the study of green eco-neighborhoods (Orbetello, 2011) to naturalistic tourist villages with an ecological footprint dedicated to the intimate contact with the nature (Follonica, 2012); the experience of botanical curator of historic gardens led him to study the composition formula of the botanical biopark as amusement park (Varese, 2017; Lonato del Garda, 2017) and of vertical gardens designed as natural power (among the last, Mondo Juve Torino and Aventine Rome, 2018), like the recovery of historical trees (Castelgandolfo vegetal galleries, 2009; Viale Platani SS1 Pisa-San Giuliano Terme) and the creation of an ornamental park starting from a holm oak forest (Historic Garden Villa Rospigliosi, Lamporecchio 2010 ). He is the author of numerous publications on the subject of urban green and v. architectural, and edited the book FARE VERDE URBANO, a book on green urban planning in Italy edited for the publishing house Il Sole 24 ORE Business Media Srl.

    Sonia Santella Garden designer and journalist
    Sonia Santella is a garden designer, blogger and freelance journalist. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Stockholm and is currently a member of a Scandinavian landscape research network. He completed his training at theQuasar Design University Institute of Rome, specializing in the design of public and private green spaces. He has been writing specialist articles in landscape architecture for about ten years and cultivates his passion for garden photography by collaborating with Italian and Swedish magazines. In the 2009 he published his first book, entitled Gardens of Sweden. Passion and culture of green from 800 to the present day and in the 2012 Royal gardens of Sweden. An enchanted journey between art and nature.
