Italian Design Institute offers a specialisation course in bridal and haute couture modelling that aims to train bridal and haute couture modellers.
Under the guidance of highly qualified lecturers, the trainees will acquire the culture, methodology and manual techniques typical of haute couture and bridal work.
Beginning with the study of key elements such as anatomy, silhouette, proportions, fit down to the individual details that make up the model, we will continue with the realisation on canvas and fabric.

THE TRAINING COURSE
This is a full immersion training course, where attention will be paid to the development of bridal and haute couture models at the same time as practice. Students will explore new possibilities, experimenting their creativity and tailoring skills with the moulage and draping technique, modelling directly on the mannequin the fabric that will soon take shape.
The students will put their acquired skills into practice in the realisation of a project work, focused on the consolidation of the notions acquired during the course. This will consist of the realisation of a wedding or ceremonial dress that will be paraded and assessed by an examination committee.

Candidates wishing to attend the course must have good sartorial and patternmaking knowledge.

The candidate will learn to interpret proportions and volumes, as well as the development and design techniques of models and details that make up bridal and haute couture gowns.
He will also learn practical moulage and draping techniques. Skills and knowledge very much in demand in leading companies.
