Just get off at the Broadway-Lafayette underground, in the heart of Manhattan, not far from Greenwich Village, and admire Bowie images: giant photographs of the White Duke, who loved New York City so much, phrases from his songs and the iconic coloured thunderbolt. A makeover linked to the current exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, open until 15 July 2018, where more than 400 of the musician's personal items are on display.

An example of urban art in one of the most visited metropolises in the world, a nerve centre of culture related to design, architecture and the visual arts in general.
Last March it was the turn of the Brooklyn Museum, which hosted the exhibition David Bowie Is, dedicated to the life and works of the artist from Life on Mars. An exhibition organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

With David Bowie Subway Takeover, art moves out of the confines of museums and into one of the most frequented places by thousands of New Yorkers and tourists in the Big Apple every day.

The special feature of the exhibition is that each work on display is accompanied by a statement by Bowie about New York, his relationship with the city, and its impact on his work and composition.
And, since the event was realised with Spotify, passers-by can use a code to listen to David Bowie's music during the underground experience.
